How to Generate a new M-Key

To request an M-Key (VPN Key) by using Meta Mask powered by SmartGov, MoCIT, and the NUG Myanmar Government, follow these steps:

Steps - 1

Login Using SmartPass

Use your official email address issued by your respective department. This login process is passwordless, meaning you will authenticate through SmartPass, which ensures secure and seamless access without needing a traditional password.

Steps - 2

Generate M-Key

On the dashboard, locate the option to generate a VPN key. Click on "Choose Country" and then select a country and click to continue. This action will create a unique M-Key for your VPN access.

Steps - 3

Copy the M-Key

Once the key is generated, it will start with m-key://. Ensure to copy this M-Key for later use in your VPN configuration.

Steps - 4

Download App and Configure

On the dashboard, click the "Download App" button to download the VPN client. Once installed, follow the instructions in the How to Use App section to configure.

Additional Notes

• Official Email: You must use the official email address issued by your department to authenticate with SmartPass.

• VPN Configuration: The M-Key starting with m-key:// is critical for configuring your VPN connection.
