# Meta Mask Windows Application

**Install ‘Meta Mask Setup’ Installer**

1. Right-click on the **Meta Mask Setup** installer file.
2. Select **Run as administrator** to ensure the installer has the necessary permissions for setup.

**Install Meta Mask VPN**

1. Follow the on-screen instructions in the installer.
2. When you reach the final page of the setup, **uncheck** the option **Launch Meta Mask VPN** (this will prevent it from launching immediately after installation).
3. Click **Finish** to complete the installation.

**Configure Meta Mask VPN to Always Run as Administrator**

1. Right-click on the **Meta Mask VPN** application shortcut (you can find this on your desktop or in your start menu).
2. Select **Open file location** to open the folder where Meta Mask VPN is installed.
3. Once in the installation folder, right-click on the **Meta Mask VPN** application file.
4. Click **Properties** from the context menu.
5. In the Properties window, go to the **Compatibility** tab.
6. Check the box that says **Run this program as an administrator**.
7. Click **Apply** and then **OK** to save the settings.

**Open Meta Mask VPN and Add the M-Key**

1. Launch the **Meta Mask VPN** application.
2. When prompted with a security prompt, click **Yes** to allow it to run with administrator privileges.
3. A new UI labeled **Add M-Key** will appear.
4. In this UI, you’ll see a text input box and a **Paste** button.
5. Click **Paste** to insert the M-Key (this key should start with `m-key://`) that you have previously copied.
6. The M-Key will be added to activate or authenticate your Meta Mask VPN.

**Add M-Key:**

A new UI will appear labeled "Add M-Key."

**Paste Your M-Key**

You’ll see a text input box with a "Paste" button next to it. Click the "Paste" button to insert the M-Key (starting with `m-key://`) that you copied earlier.

**Connect and Complete:**

Once the M-Key is pasted, click the "Connect" and "Start" button to establish your VPN connection.

**Monitor Connection:**

Check Bandwidth Allowance: The M-Key comes with a limited data allowance (GB). If you notice the connection slowing down, you may have reached the limit. To verify, go to the MetaMask Dashboard and check your current GB allowance. In the MetaMask Client Application, check the traffic usage and confirm if it matches the allowance shown in the MetaMask Dashboard.&#x20;

**Remove and Generate a New M-Key:**

If your GB allowance has been exhausted, click the Delete Icon next to the M-Key to remove it from the app. Follow the steps in the [How to Generate a New M-Key](https://guide.metamask.nugmyanmar.org/getting-started/integrations) section to create and add a new M-Key.
